She began her career in Houston, Texas, where she integrated laser treatments with skin care products and other cosmetic procedures. With over a decade of experience in clinical aesthetics and cosmetic science, she recognized that many personal care products marketed to women contain ingredients such as fragrances, essential oils, and certain chemicals that may not be ideal for those with sensitive skin, inflammatory conditions, or women during pregnancy and breastfeeding. As a result of her personal struggle with a chronically compromised skin barrier caused by psoriasis, she also struggled to find cosmetics that were in alignment with her standards of efficacy, craftsmanship, and sustainability. So she became inspired about manufacturing holistic skin care solutions for herself and for anyone seeking to minimize exposure to potential irritants and toxins in cosmetics.

We draw inspiration from ancient wisdom to create advanced skin care formulas that are both effective and sustainable. Instead of harsh preservatives and plant-based oils which oxidize quickly and that are more likely to trigger allergic reactions, we rely on natural fermentation and animal-based emollients such as suet-derived tallow, a byproduct of the beef industry.
