Hi there! I am Zameera Reyes, Texas licensed esthetician, owner, and chief research & developer of Beleza by Z. I have worked in the medical spa and plastic surgery industries as well as my own aesthetics practice for over a decade. After struggling with skin and gut issues such as psoriasis and intestinal permeability (leaky gut), I became passionate about finding holistic solutions to these problems.
At Beleza by Z, we advocate diet as the primary method for addressing any inflammatory skin condition. That being said, most conventional personal care products are made with endocrine disruptors such as essential oils, fragrance, PEGs, or phenoxyethanol, which can exacerbate existing skin conditions.
The skin, being the body's largest organ and first line of defense against pathogens, is teeming with trillions of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses. These invisible life-forms known as the skin microbiome, are an important part of overall health, hence the reason our skin care line is developed via bacterial fermentation. The fermentation process results in probiotics or postbiotics in the form of natural peptides, acids, and enzymes, which help support the skin barrier. We also include a few select dietary supplements that promote sleep, gut health, and overall well-being to compliment a beauty routine from the inside out.
Beleza by Z is a woman owned, small company that does not take any outside capital or funding. "I am committed to reducing our exposure to environmental toxins and to help solve some skin woes holistically, through sharing knowledge and by creating products in alignment with a healthy skin-gut-brain axis. Instead of mass-produced products made with harsh ingredients that strip the skin’s natural barrier and exacerbate inflammation, our formulations use bacterial fermentation, soothing botanicals, biocompatible ceramides derived from grass-fed beef tallow, and active ingredients which allow your skin, and our environment to thrive."

I am committed to reducing our exposure to environmental toxins in cosmetics, especially those used on or near the mouth, such as lipstick. And to help solve some skin woes holistically, through sharing knowledge and by creating products in alignment with a healthy skin and gut microbiome.
Our commitment to sustainability and hygiene is evident in the eco-friendly packaging of our products, which are made from recyclable glass, bamboo, cardboard, and pump dispensers. We exclusively source ingredients from transparent suppliers who follow stringent social and environmental responsibility guidelines. Our skin care products are meticulously created in limited quantities, never private labeled or mass-produced, and we handle every step of the process, from formulation to packaging, here in the USA.
